Parents & Colleges has named York College as one of America’s Best Colleges for 2010 in the category Top 10 Best Value Private Colleges and Universities. York was ranked number eight in this category.
Parents & Colleges offers objective, expert-written advice to help families navigate the college consideration process and choose the institutions that best fit them. This year, the site and its advisory board have chosen just a handful of colleges that offer value, excellence and engagement relevant to students and their parents alike.
Parents & Colleges has created lists of the top ten schools in categories that matter most to parents and students by compiling nationally recognized surveys of schools, students, and published rankings, and integrating quantitative, publicly available information compiled by the U.S. Dept. of Education Center for Education Statistics.
According to the Parents & Colleges, the award reflects York College of Pennsylvania’s status as not only an elite institution of higher education, but one that should stay top-of-mind as families make their higher education plans.

Having graduated from York, I can concure with this article and find it to be extremely accurate with my experiences at York College. To any and all looking to persure a college career in an environment where class sizes of 25-30 on average greatly increase the one-on-one interaction of students and teachers, York College is your place. Not to mention the affordable "bite size" tuition costs wehn compared to other private institutions of its caliber.

My son is a senior at York College where he has received an outstanding education! York College has provided him with opportunities that he would not have had at other colleges. The student body is small which facilitates an ongoing relationships among the faculty and other students. It truly is an excellent private, liberal arts college. I would highly recommend York College to any prospective students!
