York Entrepreneurship Symposium on Nov. 19

York College of Pennsylvania will host its Fourth Annual York Entrepreneurship Symposium on Nov. 19 in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (Nov. 16 – 22). Sponsored by the Department of Business and the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship, the event will feature a series of informational workshops for emerging entrepreneurs and business owners.

The Symposium is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m., Nov. 19, in Alumni Hall, West Campus Community Center. It is open to those interested in starting a business or growing an existing business. Advance registration, which includes light supper and refreshments, costs $20. High school and college students and York College alumni will pay $10 with advance registration. Workshops offered during the Symposium include “Steps to a Successful Start,” “Money and Funding Your Business,” “Pricing Your Product or Service,” “Marketing Your Business” and “Growing Your Existing Business.”

Founded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in the United States and Make Your Mark in the United Kingdom, Global Entrepreneurship Week was created to inspire young people everywhere to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity. More than 75 countries are carrying the banner of the Week, including Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, South Africa and the United States.
