The Oklahoman, in addition to The Palm Beach (FL) Post, quoted Paul Doutrich in a story on Columbus day.
"He was bringing what he knew," Paul Doutrich, professor of history at York College of Pennsylvania, said of Columbus.
The explorer was not sent to find a new world, Doutrich said. "He was coming to conquer."
