York College’s J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship will host a workshop titled “The Value of Social Media in B2B Marketing” from 8:30 to 11 a.m., Dec. 16, in Alumni Hall in the West Campus Community Center. Brian Razzaque, president of Vision Multimedia Technologies, LLC, (VMT) will lead the session and discuss how companies of any size can use social networks for business-to-business marketing. The $49 registration fee includes a breakfast buffet. Online registration, which must be completed before Dec. 11, is available at http://jdbctr.ycp.edu.
From research, we can infer that there are more than 80 million users logging into Facebook each day that are outside of college, and that a good percentage of them are 35 or older, Razzaque wrote on VMT’s blog (www.vmtllc.com/blog). “These numbers are too large to ignore the probability that a sizeable percentage of these users have to be B2B decision-makers, if not influencers. And with an average of 120 friends, if even a small percentage of those users become your fan or promote your message, you are definitely reaching a decent-sized targeted audience. As a result, I feel that it would not be prudent to disregard leveraging social networks (at least Facebook) for B2B marketing.”
