Business Department to present 'Creating a Lean Culture'

York College’s Department of Business Administration will present “Creating a LEAN Culture,” a talk by Michael Carver, quality manager at CRH North America in Clanton, Ala., at 7:30 a.m., March 26, in the West Campus Community Center’s Alumni Hall. The event, which includes a breakfast buffet, is open to the public. Cost to attend is $10; reservations are necessary and may be made by contacting Brenda Adams at badams@ycp.edu or 717-815-1749 by March 22.

A manager and Six Sigma Black Belt, Carver will share his experience on lean improvements, challenges and lessons learned. He previously served as continuous improvement manager at CRH, an international company that develops and manufactures high-quality seat structures for the automotive industry.  Carver earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Auburn University and an MBA in operations management from The University of Alabama.
