York College again named Great College to Work For

York College is again one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to a new survey by The Chronicle of Higher Education. The results, released recently in The Chronicle’s third annual report on The Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of more than 42,000 employees at nearly 300 colleges and universities. In all, only 97 of the 275 institutions achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies. Results are reported for small, medium, and large institutions, with York included among the medium colleges with 3,000 to 9,999 students. Women’s Business Center Organization schedules luncheon workshops

Join other women business professionals, female entrepreneurs, and small business owners at monthly educational workshops sponsored by the York College Women’s Business Center Organization (WBCO). The WBCO was established in 2007 as an initiative of the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at York College. Its mission is to educate women on best practices in business. Annual membership dues are $125 and include admission and lunch at luncheon workshops that feature topics of particular significance to women in business. The assistant professor of geography at York College of Pennsylvania had purchased the dilapidated Toyota Celica a few weeks earlier for only $150, sight unseen.
