For the second straight weekend, the York College men’s soccer squad has been selected to host four teams in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament. The Spartans will host Williams, Christopher Newport, and Stevens Institute on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22. York faces Williams at 11:00 am followed by Christopher Newport and Stevens facing off at 1:30 pm.  The two winners advance to the regional final on Sunday at 1:00 pm with a berth in the Final Four on the line. The Final Four will be held in San Antonio, TX on December 4 and 5. The Spartans earned their spot in the Sweet 16 courtesy of a 6-0 win over Cazenovia on Saturday and a solid 2-0 win over Amherst on Sunday. View YC Players to present 'Chronicles,' 'A Christmas Carol'
The York College Players will end their fall season with performances of “Chronicles” and “A Christmas Carol.” “Chronicles” will be presented at 7 p.m., Dec. 1-5, in the Perko Playpen Theatre, and “A Christmas Carol” will be performed at 1 p.m., Dec. 2-4, in the Collegiate Performing Arts Center. All performances are open to the public free of charge.
